DELETING A QUEST,
CHECKPOINT, OR ROUTE

Quests you create in Waybound stay under your control. This page covers the three things quest owners can remove from inside the app — the quest itself, a single checkpoint, or the route between them.

1Delete an entire quest

Quest owner onlyThis permanently removes the quest, its route, and all of its checkpoints.

  1. Open the quest you created.
  2. On the Quest Details screen, scroll down past Checkpoints and Participants.
  3. Tap Delete Quest.
  4. Confirm — the quest and everything attached to it is removed right away.

2Edit or delete a checkpoint

Quest owner onlyRemove one checkpoint without deleting the whole quest.

  1. From the Quest Details screen, open Checkpoints.
  2. Tap the checkpoint you want to change.
  3. Update its interactions or attached files, or tap Delete Checkpoint to remove it entirely.
  4. Tap Save Checkpoint to confirm.

3Edit or reset the quest route

Quest owner onlyAdjust the path your quest follows, or clear it and start over.

  1. From the Quest Details screen, open the quest route builder.
  2. Use Point or Record mode to add or adjust points along the path.
  3. Tap Reset to clear the current route completely, or continue placing points.
  4. Tap Save to keep your changes.
Note: resetting a route removes its points, but doesn’t delete the quest or its checkpoints — those are handled separately, above.
